The Butterfly Series, Book One: Cocoon Rooted
A girl looked at the moon each night. Sometimes it was round and bright. Sometimes only a silver curve could be seen. On other nights, the sky appeared empty.
She wondered whether the moon felt embarrassed when it could not shine fully.
Her aunt smiled and said, “The moon is whole in every phase. What we can see changes, but its worth does not.”
The girl began noticing her own phases. Some days she felt confident and social. Other days she needed quiet, rest, and reassurance. None of those days made her less complete.
You are allowed to have changing energy, emotions, and needs. You do not owe the world constant brightness. Resting, learning, and beginning again are all parts of being whole.
Rooted Reflection
- What phase are you in today?
- What does your mind or body need?
- How can you honor yourself without apology?
Glow Notes
- I am whole in every phase.
- My needs are worthy of attention.
- I do not have to shine every moment.
Moon Practice
Draw the moon phase that matches how you feel today. Beneath it, finish this sentence: “In this phase, I need...”
