The Butterfly Series, Book One: Cocoon Rooted
A seed rested beneath the soil and listened to the garden above her. She heard bees visiting flowers and leaves dancing in the wind. Everyone sounded alive while she felt buried.
She wondered why her beginning had to happen in darkness. She worried that being unseen meant being forgotten.
But the soil was not a punishment. It was protection. It held her steady while her roots learned where to reach. It gave her water when she was thirsty and quiet when she needed rest.
Day after day, the seed changed. Her shell softened. A root reached down. A stem reached up. Nothing about her looked impressive yet, but everything important had begun.
When she finally rose above the soil, she understood that the darkness had never erased her. It had prepared her.
You may have seasons when no one notices your effort. You may feel hidden while others seem celebrated. Your worth does not disappear when you are unseen. Some of your strongest growth will begin in private.
Rooted Reflection
- When have you felt unseen?
- What has a quiet season taught you?
- Who can remind you that you are not forgotten?
Glow Notes
- I am worthy even when no one is watching.
- Quiet growth still matters.
- I am protected while I prepare.
Grounding Practice
Place one hand on your heart and one on your stomach. Take three slow breaths. Say, “I am here. I am held. I am growing.”
